My final test, on any perfume, is my husband. if I get a kiss it’s a buy again if he just says you smell nice it’s a maybe, but if he says what’s that smell it’s a never buy again and donate the bottle. His response was, you smell nice. I do like the scent it’s something I will wear once in awhile but there’s a harshness about it coupled with a very beautiful scent underneath. Even discounted it’s not cheap coupled with it being of the temporary scent generation of perfumes I probably won’t buy that much of it. It used to be perfumes were made with an oil base and lasted for days now if it lasts through an 8 hour work day your lucky. I like the scent but I’m not in love with it. Like all current perfumes the scent doesn’t last. I wish they would make perfumes like the old days where the scent lasted until washed off but they prefer to make it temporary and there by selling more.

As someone who loves many TF fragrances, I was excited to find this wonderful deal on Amazon. I compared my bottle to a friend’s (who purchased directly from TF) and I believe my bottle was 100% authentic. Like many TF fragrances, this scent is heavy and lasts alllll day. One spray or maybe two if you’re feeling bold. I’d say this fragrance is relatively unisex but could be too sweet for some men. As others have noted, this fragrance really relies upon your body chemistry to smell right. On the wrong person it can smell downright putrid. I actually experienced this on myself one time and finally understood what everyone was talking about. I noticed that this issue does not happen if you spray the fragrance a few inches away from your skin as opposed to directly on it.

I’ve been wearing black orchid for a little over a decade. I ordered this for a call Lakes birthday, and he absolutely loved it.Although the box says women, it’s actually unisex. It blends in with the chemicals of your body, and it creates a phenomenon pheromone release.!!!Unless you’re wanting to dupe, there is no scent quite resembles this one!!

I’m a fan of Tom Ford’s unisex fragrances, I own several of them. I ran out of my Black Orchid in the black bottle so I was looking to buy another until I saw this one and purchased it after I read and watched reviews on YouTube.You know it’s Black Orchid but with a couple more ingredients that sets it off with a beautiful scent. It starts off strong with the high notes but cools down with the middle and base notes.This one smells great but I like the Black Orchid in the black bottle a little better but I’d still recommend it.

I purchased this as a gift for my girlfriend. She likes it. And I like it too. It seems to have a deeper blend of spices with just enough of floral in it to make you think about it. I don’t notice any of the lingering smell of the alcohol I find in other colognes / perfumes.This scent isn’t overpowering and you don’t need to use very much for it to work its magic. This would be suitable to wear around the office or upscale event. Even as a guy, I’ve worn this a couple times and I received compliments about it. So even with the “For Women” part in the title, it is solid enough for men to wear as well.I did purchase this direct from Amazon.com. I didn’t want to take a chance of a poor quality item at these prices. While the pricing isn’t cheap. It’s still better than what Macy’s had listed it for.

I smelled this fragrance about 3 years ago. I fell in love with it on the test strip and since I was going through difficult times I decided to wait. I finally got a great job 3 years later and could afford this. I smelled it in the men’s department even though it’s listed as a women’s fragrance. I heard it’s more of a unisex scent now. All the packaging and even on the bottle itself never says TOM FORD FOR WOMEN, so they must have officially made this a unisex fragrance. Sometimes when I smell it on myself I think perfumey, sometimes I smell more of a mans smell. I like how it changes. It comes off very strong and manly in the beginning but as the middle notes start to set in it smells more floral/spicy. I spray it on my skin about 6:45 AM and still smell it when I go to bed at 9 PM. If you really want other people to smell it probably best to spray twice a day. I would not call this scent light even as it mellows out.

I…am a man. I have hair on my face, chest and admittedly a little on my back. I wear this scent and I get compliments all of the time…from women.I had a whiff of the men’s version of this and hated it. I tried this version and after several hours still enjoyed it; This is certainly a unisex fragrance even though it is marketed for women. The fragrance is very powerful, a little goes a long way, and lasts all day; I have even had it reactivate in the shower the next morning. It is not a subtle fragrance; people will know you are wearing “something” even if they are not right next to you. When I buy a premium fragrance, I want something that not only smells nice, but that also lasts a long time – bonus if people take notice in a positive way; this fragrance fit the bill.For perspective, some of the other fragrances I like for a night out are: Tom Ford – Tobacco Vanille and YSL – La Nuit de l`Homme.

This Tom Ford is one of my favorite colognes. It is rich and woody, perfect to use in winter because it is warm too. It is not the fresh kind of colognes. Also, the best way to buy colognes is just to go to department store and check them there and then buy them here so you make sure what kind of scent you buying. This Tom Ford is unisex but it is more for men than weman because it is pretty strong scent, it is oil base so it is going to last long and if you squirt it 3 times or more it is going to be overwhelming. In my opinion 2 squirt is enough. Also you should wear it like 20 minutes before you get out because at the first 20 minutes it is going to be very overwhelming. It last very long, somewhere around 6 hours. What I like about it is after 2 hours it is smell way better. Also it is authentic cologne.

Tom Ford just has a superior product. Applying just a small amount and the scent stays with me all day. Over time I’ve experienced some products loose some of their fragrance and even smell a bit rancid. NOT with this product. I’ve enjoyed using Tom Ford products for at least 15yrs and I have never been dissatisfied. The quality is always there which makes it a very trusted, reliable brand.

I’ve had a couple of people brag about how good this smells but before I committed to a full bottle of it I figured I’d get a sample. I was impressed. First I was impressed with the sample itself, which came in a tiny spray bottle. The shipping was faster than I expected and it was well packaged against breakage. The smell itself is – I’m not sure how to describe it. It’s light without losing any of its punch. Really pleasant high notes to it for lack of a better way to describe it. It’s not the heavy ‘musky’ scent that so many male scents rely on. Instead its rich but in a refreshing way. I’m completely in love with it.

There are no words for this cologne/perfume…Such an exquisitely sophisticated, dark (with floral undertones obviously), intense (yet paradoxically subtle), mysterious and alluring, UNIVERSAL scent perfect for BOTH MEN & WOMEN. Very unique fragrance, I would compare it to “Tom Ford’s version of Chanel No. 5” yet it actually smells good/not like old ladies.At this pricepoint (about $95-100) for a 3.4 fl.oz. bottle SOLD BY AMAZON.COM AS THE SELLER so its authenticity is guaranteed, I would say run don’t walk to buy this fragrance (retails @ Macy’s for $168).I am a male in my 20s, and first learned that Tom Ford Black Orchid is actually manufactured as a unisex fragrance during a trip to Sephora. I consider myself a cologne connoisseur – some of my favorites include Gucci Guilty, Angel Man by Thierry Mugler, D&G Light Blue, Bleu de Chanel, Tom Ford Noir, and good old Armani Code. That being said I was VERY reserved about buying this “unisex” cologne with fear it would smell too feminine…However, I love it! Initially has a very floral smell (could see why it would fit feminine). But after an hour, it breaks down into a dark, sweet-smelling scent that really captivates attention, yet is subtle enough for daytime wear. My conservative mom’s first reaction to it: “Wow! I love that. It’s very sweet smelling, but so clean! You should wear that to work” (I’m a financial advisor in a comm. bank setting). Love that it’s EAU DE PARFUM instead of toilette, because the second I think the scent is fading out on me, a brisk walk around the office (body temperature raises) & the smell comes right back.Truly lasts all day (I use 3 sprays: front of neck, back of neck, once on wrist and rub them together). As I’ve said it before, I consider it more of a DAYTIME SCENT. It is light and not overpowering, yet the dark/mysterious scent would work for night time as well (I just prefer something more “daring” in the evening).FINAL VERDICT: YES! Would I expect it to be a favorite among blue collar men/Larry the Cable Guy types? No. Truly appropriate though for daily wear by a sophisticated gentleman.

I purchased Tom Ford’s Black Orchid Parfum 1 week before Christmas and aside from not being eligible for 2 day shipping (amazon prime) this item was “shipped and sold by amazon”. I did not receive it until just before New Years Day because it was required to be delivered ground.The perfume came sealed in celophane just as if purchased at the department store but the last half of the serial/batch number has been cut from the box and replaced with a tiny gold piece of tape. Initial unboxing revealed the scent on the cap and around the bottle but there did not appear to be any leaks. Usually I can’t smell the juice on the cap unless its been sprayed so this was my first thought, however, the bottle had never been sprayed as it needed to be primed for initial spray.On my skin the fragrance smells just like Black Orchid initially and during the dry-down phase. I have no doubt in my mind this is Black Orchid by Tom Ford but it is evident that this item is a ‘grey market’ item because of the missing number. I recently acquired a sample from the Tom Ford counter and the fragrance is identical to the sample except on the potency scale I would give the sample 10/10 and this fragrance 7/10.I will keep it but this is most definitely my first and last fragrance purchase from amazon. In the end I saved about $ 12 dollars for a marginally inferior product. For peace of mind I recommend purchasing fine fragrances from the authorized perfume counter.

I can honestly say this perfume is pretty expensive and its the first perfume I have EVER bought at this high of a price , I wanted something special for my wedding day that’s taking place next month.Well after MONTHS of waiting to even smell this perfume I couldn’t wait any longer , I opened the package and was excited. I sprayed my chest and wrists with it and OMG it smells SO good , I have other perfumes like Vera Wang and Burberry but this one honestly beats them.Now I’m getting addicted to Tom Fords perfumes , If this one smells THIS good then I can only imagine how the others smell. My fiance REALLY liked it also on me , The only thing is it lasts for maybe an hour or so then the smell starts to go down a little . The smell is still there its just not as heavy as when you first spray it but all in all still worth every dime!.

I smelled this in a magazine a while ago and made a mental note of WOW I really like this. So I got a gift card from work and decided to splurge. I have to say I’m glad I didn’t shell out my own cash. It’s a wonderful, unique scent but unfortunately I don’t like it ON my skin. Some perfumes are just like that; they just don’t blend with you personally. I admit it’s a totally personal thing. I wish it had been “softened” a bit with a mellow floral tone. The floral in this is a massive blast of pure orchid that is earthy, unfiltered, intense. I tend to like my florals gentler and delicious. Aside from that, it is mostly a spicy, musky scent which is usually not my cup of tea to wear. It’s described as an Oriental Chypre, not Oriental Floral for a reason Still, if you like to wear something like Opium you will love this. I do like it–it’s a very complex scent with many layers and it lasts all day. It’s unique. I wouldn’t call it beautiful rather overtly sexy. Five stars!
