Everything that was advertised came in the kit.
The product seems to be pretty decent. I will honestly have to use it for a while before I can say that it works. But it has so far made my beard feel hydrated and softer. The Boar brush is soft and doesn’t hurt your face. I do have another Boar brush I use with much rougher Boar hair. And I use that to really straighten my beard. But the oils, washes, and balm that comes with this kit are of pretty good quality. I hope to see it do what I want it to do in time. I’m sure it won’t happen over night. So consider this a preliminary review. If it does what it’s supposed ro do I will either edit this review or write another. That will give more detail of how well it works over time.

Pretty good for the money
It seems like a lot of fuss and muss for a beard, but once I got the routing down, I have to admit it made a huge improvement to my beard. Softer, shinier, it just looks better than it did beforehand. I’ve worn a beard for over 45 years and this is the best it has looked.

Good but not ideal for sensitive skin
The price on this is extremely good. However, I would skin test all of the products on your hand before applying them to your face. I gave this to my boyfriend as a gift and unfortunately one of the oils meet him extremely break out. Overall good product but just again warning about pre-testing. All of the products on other skin before applying it to your face.

No Shave Never
My husband has only recently been able to grow a beard. He’s 28. His attempts to grow a beard in the past were unsuccessful. His mustache resembled that of a 15 year old boys. His body hair has always been in full growth. He would call the hair on his nipples “nipple beards” because they were the only thing resembling that of a beard on his body. It was quite sad watching him cling to his Nipple beards…crying to himself at night longing for something more. Once he was able to grow a beard it was a joyous occasion for him. However I was not aware that in the process of growing his beard that it would effect my marriage as it had. His beard became a mistress…or a second wife if you will. I found myself envious of his beard. He was always combing it, and fawning over it, and showing it off. I became obsolete. His beard had taken over our lives. I tried Include myself in his relationship with his beard, so I offered this kit as a Christmas present. He appreciated the gift but it just pushed him further from me, and he spent more time grooming his beard. He smelled wonderful, and smiled bigger than ever. My cries for attention became silent sobs, as he would stroke his beard. Oh how I longed to be the beard that hung from his chin. Oh how I wished I was the one he was fawning over, stroking, and showing off. He must have heard my cries for attention, because one fine day he came home from a long day at work and was in the shower…..for a long time. He then came out butt naked covering his face from the nose down with a towel asking me where our monkey wrench was. It was a peculiar question for a naked man to ask. When I told him where it was he then grabbed it and ran back to the bathroom, and there he stayed for a good 45 minutes. I became curious. I slowly opened the bathroom door, and I finally saw him. Bear faced. He needed to wrench to unclog the bathroom sink…..because he shaved off his beard. At first I was relieved to see it gone. Knowing I wouldn’t have to compete for his attention anymore. But seconds later I laughed until I cried. I hadn’t seen my husband bear faced in 3 years. He looked like a fat pale baby. I regretted all of my evil thoughts about his beard. I at that point wanted it back. I wanted my rugged lumberjack looking man back. He asked if he looked okay. Through laughter I lied and told him he looked sexy…..he looked like a 12 year old kid with a doughnut eating problem, and a bad tan line from his nose down….but he saw through my deception. We laughed together until we cried. Immediately After this episode he decided to grow his beard again. She isn’t as long as she was before, and he doesn’t fawn over her like he used to, but I’m getting used to life with her. Ladies: Don’t talk your man into shaving his beard. You’ll regret it. 😅😂

Pretty much perfect.. and I’m very picky.
Pros:This is a great quality product. It reminds me of the way products made in the US used to be made. Even the box that it came in was very nice. The oil and balm smells great and works well. Other oils have irritated my skin (even good brands like Every Man Jack), but this oil actually feels good and refreshing.. it doesn’t leave you feeling greasy or oily and doesn’t irritate your skin. Not even when I use more than what it calls for.The scissors cut well and they are not flimsy at all. The boar hair brush feels great and works well.Cons:The comb that comes with the kit is of a decent quality, but the teeth are too gapped for me and I find myself still using my other comb. It would be better if the comb had two sides instead of one. One side with the teeth gapped very small, then the other side a big larger. I only use the fine tooth side of the comb I already had.. and the comb in this kit is gapped larger, but I love the brush.The shampoo that came with the kit did not pump right. It makes a weird sound and I had to pump it a lot to get just couple drops. My conditioner pumps perfectly, so I think I just got a bad pump on mine and most kits probably won’t have issues with the pump.It happens.. but the shampoo and conditioner is also fantastic. The conditioner really moisturizes your beard and takes away a lot of the hair’s roughness.I will absolutely order this again once my balm, oil, shampoo and conditioner run out. On that note, I would also like to suggest a “refill” kit that only comes with oil, balm, shampoo and conditioner so that you don’t end up with a drawer full of extra scissors, brushes and combs.

I am so surprised by how much stuff came with this set. And the kicker is, none of it is junk. I honestly just needed a brush and comb, but when I saw this set for $12 I figured why not? Even if I throw all the other stuff out, it would still be an acceptable price for a brush and comb. Well, the set comes with all kinds of stuff and I really like using it all. The shampoos and oils smell good and seem to work quite well. The brush is much much much better than one I have bought in the past all on its own. I don’t know if these oils are like truly the top of the line when it comes to beard care, but at someone that just has facial hair and I’m not entering any competitions or anything, it all seems to be pretty good and at an unbeatable price. I’m quite pleased with this purchase.

Fantastic Starter Kit
I recently purchased this kit for my boyfriend for Christmas as he has been looking for beard care products for quite some time, but didn’t want to spend too much money on something he may not like. He is also very busy and never had time to research different products that he would like. I had a lot more free time, and decided that this would be the perfect gift for him as I had time to research different products.I wanted to get him something that was unscented and came with many small samples for him to try. In addition, the product had to be under $20 in order to fit within my college student budget. Finally, I wanted something that was high quality and could be used for many years.After reading reviews for many beard care kits, I stumbled across this kit and found many positive reviews, and I feel that they are all justified. This kit came with everything someone who wanted to grow a beard would need to get started. Everything was clean and came in great condition.The results from this kit have been impressive already. My boyfriend’s beard looks much fuller than it did just a month ago. It also is very soft and isn’t scratchy anymore. He says that his skin is smoother than it was before he received this kit, and uses the boar bristle brush daily to detangle and prevent split ends.And it is not only him who enjoys the kit, I have also found it very useful. I cut his hair, and recently tried the beard scissors that comes with the kit. The scissors are incredibly high quality and did a fantastic job of cutting. This was very important as I was trimming his moustache and had to be very careful! In addition, the beard oil has done a fantastic job of hydrating his skin underneath the beard and he no longer has dry, flaky skin. The only downside is that the samples are small, so I know I will need to go hunting for beard care products again soon. But that is hardly an issue as I know what he likes now and don’t have to worry about getting a large bottle of something only for him to hate it.Overall, I believe this is the perfect kit to purchase if you want a cheap sample kit that is high quality for the bearded man in your life. All of the products are sturdy and have shown no signs of wear after a month of use. The samples are the perfect size to get started with, and hopefully he will enjoy the results just as much as my boyfriend has!

Snake oil
To be for sure…. being clean, taking care of yourself and being well manicured is to be admired. The brush is convenient, the scissors are reasonable, the scent is not going to offend you and the comb… ugh on the comb.Magic answers to my stash and bread hairs that act like wire and stick out ? Not a chance. Let hope over time the facial hair is trained and I recant this opinion.

Haven’t noticed a difference yet
The comb is by far my favorite thing in this. Price wise i got it on sale and it’s worth it as most of these products are only slightly cheaper than the kit. The wash and conditioner doesn’t have the best smell. The brush has had a few bristles fall out but nothing major (most likely the cheapest item)
