    Looks great and is a generous size

    Got a new desk and needed to protect the surface. This mat is a generous size and it looks great. it arrived quickly and the packaging was excellent. The color is rich and while it’s not leather, it certainly looks like it could be. I have wiped coffee mug rings off it without and issue and I’m guessing it’s more durable than leather would be. There is top stitching detail around the edge that enhances the overall appearance. Only cons are that it does tend to shift a bit on the desk which I suppose is better than having a surface that grips the desktop and potentially damages the finish. Also, the embossed company log is a little prominent but not overly distracting. Overall, I really like this and highly recommend it.

    Grandkids, 5 and 8, ‘gotta love em’

    Originally purchased May 2021. Not real leather however for looks and durability for a computer monitor, mouse and scratch pad notes this pad more than serves it’s purpose. We highly recommend this purchase. The grand kids used permanent black markers to draw pictures and went onto the pad. Needless to say, Grandma was not thrilled and thought a new pad should be ordered. We ordered a new pad March 2023 at the same price as the first pad ordered May 2021. Grandma is happy and the grand kids know ‘no more drawing on the new pad’.

    Great product

    I bought this for my desk. Pictures are a little deceiving about the color. I have a cherry oak color desk and the brown mat matched very close. Exactly what I wanted. Product arrived very well packaged. Laid pretty flat right out of the box. 100% flat after 1 week on the desk. It does slide around a little easy but I would rather have a quality product instead of one with a backing that either scratches or stains the desktop

    thin and keeps sliding all over the place. NOT REAL LEATHER MAT…

    The mat is nice and large however, it is very thin and flimsy… the rich brown color is nice and their logo located on the top left corner. The item is nice no doubt about it but it is definitely not real leather mat. I have had purchased a real leather mat and its much thicker and feels more like leather. This mat also does not hold the table very well and keep sliding all over the place. If you were to bend or fold the mat it will begin to have very noticeable creases which is not so nice. It does cover a large portion of my desk and i do not abuse the mat a lot so it might serve me for some time. It does look fancy and it does look elegant. I like mine and they did a really good job with the stitching. I just wanted to give this mat a fair review. It is a bit more expensive than its worth. ive spilt water on it and tea and quickly wipes it out and thankfully no stains were left behind. If i was to mess this mat again would i buy it? definitely but i do wish they start making the mat a bit more thicker. This will give it a more expensive and beautiful look.

    Durability but Adsorb Dust and Slip

    It is made of PU leather. It attracts dust, especially in dry environments, and can be difficult to wipe off. It looks dirty and needs to be cleaned every day.

    Great quality desk mat, but wish it didn’t slide around

    This mat has exceeded my expectations, in that it is beautiful, the surface feels really nice on my hands and wrist, and the stitching and craftsmanship is high-quality. My only nit with this product is that the backing is made of some kind of felt or cloth, so that it constantly slides around on my desk. I’m going to get some nonslip pads to put underneath to keep this from happening, but it feels like it should be designed not do it.

    Beautiful – Nice quality

    I wanted a smooth protective pad for my new desk. I would have prefered high quality leather pad, but I didn’t want to pay the high price. This pad looks beautiful. It provides a little cushion for my arms, yet I can write on a single sheet of paper without putting something under it.Some reviewers commented that they did not like the way it slid around on the desktop. I have found it only slides if I deliberately push my computer away from me. I like being able to set my laptop on top of the pad, and slide it out of the way or bring it closer to me, depending on the work I am doing at my desk.I can’t imagine the felt backing sticking to my desk and ruining the finish. It went through a week of hot, HUMID weather with no air conditioning (long-term storm related power outage) and didn’t even hint at being sticky. I wonder if the reviewers who complained about that had desks with old varnish – I don’t know. I love mine. I’ve been using it for almost a year, and it looks as nice as the day I unrolled it (It laid completely flat within half an hour). It may not hold up as long as genuine top-grain leather, but at this price I could replace it many times over.I would recommend it to anyone.

    Beautiful mat but moves around easily

    The mat feels and looks luxurious but you may need to use some type of non-slide/slip mat underneath. The mat tends to slide every time i touch it and i’ve spilled water because of this a few times (clumsy).

    Nice Protective Desk Mat

    I used this desk mat to protect my wood desktop from scratches, cup rings from hot or cold drinks, pencil markings and snack crumbs. It cleans up easy and has a thin soft felt backing. I like the stitching along the edge, debossed(recessed) logo and packaging adds a nice touch.

    Great Value

    Received right on time . Was packaged in a very sturdy box that I will use to hold paint on my easel that I use for airbrushing. The pad is nice and thick it rolled up nicely in a plastic bag. I had to use some masking tape to hold down the corners to flatten itself, but only a couple of hours later I removed the tape and wah-la see the picture. I would buy it again for sure.

    Love this durable desk pad!

    The thing I love most about it is that it looks like real leather but it is much more resistant to scratching than real leather. And, if you do put a scratch on it, rub it out for a few seconds and it will almost always disappear. Also, easy to clean. I’ve had mine for a year now and it still looks good. It comes rolled up but will pretty quickly lay completely flat—that was one of my initial worries but it did just fine at flattening out. I set some heavy books on mine overnight to help with this. I thought I wanted leather, but now I would never go with leather. This one is much better for durability and you can’t tell the difference. This pad has literally saved my beautiful walnut desk from many catastrophes. I highly recommend this product!

    It really bothers me that products are advertised as leather and are not. I searched the item description but no place that I saw did it state it was fake. It’s not a bad looking product. It will serve its purpose. In the end, I was specifically looking for leather and did not get it.

    Beautiful, classy and protects your desk

    This mat creates a beautiful work surface on my desk, and adds so much class. I am over the top impressed with the customer service as well. I had one issue and they went above and beyond to help. I highly recommend this company and desk mat! I find that I do not need a separate mouse pad, as it functions perfectly for that, as well as provides a writing surface that will not damage the wood underneath, and finally, an anti-slip surface for my keyboard. It is very large and spans enough space to fit all these needs. You’ll love it! I have the brown for a dark brown desk and while the colors don’t match, the look of the leather is very rich.

    I’ve tried many desk pads.Most feel plastic and cheap in this price range.Galaway Leather however, has a great quality.Soft texture with very minimal plastic feel.Stitchig along the edges is very nice.The backside is a faux-suede or felt fabric which provides a stable and soft surface with only slight slippage.I do wish it stuck in place a bit more but overall a very satisfied.I’ve referred this to friends and have gifted them as well.9/10.

    Great, but Won’t Buy Again

    A quality leather desk mat, and was just getting ready to buy it again, but the price has gone up $5. Was willing to pay $20 (what I paid in 2022), but the price increase prompted me to check and see what else is out there, and I found another quality product – with thousands more 4+ star reviews – for less than half the new price of this one. Who pays MORE for comparable products/quality available at < half the price? 🤷🏻‍♀️

    Great gaming pad

    It’s really dusty where I live, and I got tired of washing my microfiber mouse pads because they’d get all grimy after a while with all the dust and dirt getting ground into them over time. I spent a bunch of time looking into a leather desk pad that would be easier to keep clean, but many of them had negative reviews that they scratched really easily, or that a mouse didn’t track very well on them. I’m a pretty avid PC gamer, so having a mouse pad that would stand up to regular mouse usage was an important feature for me.I was very pleased with this desk pad after it arrived. It unrolled smoothly and lays nice and flat, stays in place well, and looks very fancy on my desk. It’s quite soft and smooth to the touch – my mouse has no problems gliding over this mat, and I’ve detected no issues with mouse tracking whatsoever. I will say that there is slightly more friction when moving the mouse around when compared to a typical microfiber gaming mouse pad. This hasn’t proven to be any issue for me personally, but if you like a smoother gliding mouse feel, I imagine you could buy some teflon pads to stick on your mouse and it would work quite nicely with this mat.

    Overall Nice Mat

    Higher quality work surface with decent stitching. Blue color is nice and darker shade. Mouse glides nice. However, the mat will mark easily if pointed objects are placed on it. And it doesn’t have a supper grippy underside, and can slide around slightly under excessive force.

    I love this thing

    I use this in my home office. My mouse was scratching up my desktop, which is wood. I considered a mouse pad but wanted a cleaner look on my desk.Good quality leather. Heavy enough to stay put and does not stick to my wood top desk. It has something like a suede backing that does not stick to the desk top but keeps is from sliding around too much.It is plenty wide enough for my wide shoulders, a keyboard, cell phone, mouse and notepad, actual paper notepad. All laid out side by side there is plenty of room. The top goes under my monitors just a tiny bit, which helps it stay in place.If I ever have an external office to go to I’m getting another one to leave at the office.Highly recommend it for your desk top.

    A Missed Opportunity

    The Galloway Desk Matt is a missed opportunity by this business because of poor execution.It does look nice in the picture but the video is very misleading. It shows the lady taking it out of the box and spreading it on her desktop, and everything looks good to go…NOT SO !First, there are semi-permanent consistent creases in the matt. I say semi-permanent because I have put heavy books on it for 3 three days, and while it did flatten out most of the matt, there are still consistent creases. I think this could have been alleviated with a bigger box that would not cause the creases in the first place.Second, this matt slides all over the place on a smooth desktop. I was forced to use a GORILLA GRIP non-slip pad underneath this matt to stop the sliding.As far as “Durability”, I assume by the leather texture it will last. Then again, because of all these steps that are still not resolved (creases), it will likely last me until I find a matt without these two issues to begin with.I would not recommend this to someone else without warning them of the issues that the customer is going to have to deal with right out of the box.

    Desk mat arrives rolled up in a nice box and was easy to slide out and unroll. It flattened out quickly after only a couple of hours with a paperweight on each corner. (It probably was faster but I left it overnight.)It definitely is serving its purpose well and I would recommend it to others looking to protect their desktop with a good looking mat.

    This is a terrific product!

    I had looked at buying a glass top for my desk but found the cost too high. I saw this leather blotter and decided to try it. I was expecting imitation leather – it is real leather. I was expecting the rolled packaging to be hard to lay flat – it easily lies flat with no bumps. I cannot say enough about this product and the value it brings. You will not be disappointed.

    This leather mat simply adds class to your desktop. Seriously.I’ve found myself keeping my desk totally clean and clear (odd for someone with ADD).Quality is top notch, feels great on my palms as I type and it’s much better using a mouse on this pad instead of directly on a hard desk.Obviously, I highly recommend this for anyone with a home office or work office desk. You’ll love it.

    Great quality and attractive leather – at a great price!!!

    This leather desk blotter is perfect for my needs. I bought two looking for something to cover the bulk of a round wood dining room table to sit my desktop computer upon. I’m in an apartment and while there is a built-in desk by my kitchen, it is tiny and therefore worthless. In order to have room for my books, writing tablet, etc.. I’m forced to use my 52″ round dining table but it’s a newer (not terribly hard) wood and black and prone to scratches, etc..I looked at cheap hard plastic dining table covers (that wouldn’t breathe and might ruin my table), all the way to expensive custom hardback covers with velvet backing and just didn’t want to spend that kind of money. So…after researching and thinking about my Grandfather’s old large leather desk blotter, I thought I’d look around and found these! Two of them laid side by side fit my table almost perfectly to where I can set my computer monitor, keyboard and writing pad on it without possibly scratching my table. The BACKING of these are suede and they ARE 100% LEATHER (they even strongly smell like a great leather handbag!) so they are breathable and don’t leave any moisture or weird discoloration to the wood table underneath. Sure because my table is round and these are rectangular there is some uncovered wood, but not in an area I use or put anything on. SO… this idea was great and MUCH cheaper than a custom alternative and much more attractive and healthy for my table than the cheap hard round plastic junk being offered.I also think that if I needed the table for a dinner with guests that I could leave these on as a padding underneath a tablecloth for a little extra protection and they’d work great!If you need a medium thickness pad(s) for anything like my needs – or even anywhere else in the home, these are a great choice at a great price.

    Excellent blotter

    I’ve now purchased three of these, for two different office spaces and my home office. I write primarily with fountain pens and occasionally with rollerballs. I like being able to put the paper straight onto the pad, and the ink flows smoothly. I do NOT recommend these for pencils or ballpoint pens, as the cushioning the blotter makes it too easy to tear through the paper. If you like more resistance/hardness when you write, this isn’t for you, but I find it to be excellent for my needs.

    Don’t get confused its not leather, but ok

    Some people got confused and thought this was leather. The word “leather” is part of the company name. It is vinyl. It does look good though and it will protect my real wood desk. I purchased the large size. It was a bit pricey but overall perhaps worth it. The back is “suede like”. It does look well made and looks like it will last. It was shipped rolled up in an attractive sturdy box. I am sure it will flatted out in a little time. It is relatively thin, as expected. The roll memory faces down so curling up won’t be an issue.

    It’s not leather, and it’s not made in Galway, but still a great product.

    As long as the dishonesty of the misleading name “Gallaway Leather” does not bother you this is an excellent product. It is made of an artificial leather that is soft and has a nice sheen. To make the illusion even better, the underside is made of a sort of felt that imitates the feel of unfinished leather, This combination of imposture materials is very convincing, looks great, and does not smell of chemicals. Win, win, win. The only downside is that it is a little too thin and can bunch up like a rag sometimes.

    Adds a touch of class to the desk

    An inexpensive accessory adds a little color to a plain desktop. I like the stitching that goes around the border. A few books laid on top for a few hours help to flatten the mat after pulling it from the box. The surface underneath isn’t fully anti-slip, so expect the mat to shift around a bit.
