This is the second one I own. It is a replacement for the first one I received after it wouldn’t charge any more. I contacted theirvcustomer service and they sent me a brand new one. Pillow Bluetooth
I bought this to be a pillow BT speaker. It’s not loud and bassy, but it didn’t need to be to do what I wanted. It’s loud enough. The voice confirmation prompts sounds like a Chinese woman, incidentally.***Note: I’m amending this review with another review of the second generation of the device, as I just got it, and have done a side by side comparison with its first generation cousin.Five watts on the new version, compared to three on the older one. Of course the sound is louder, but it’s better not just because it’s 1.6666… times more powerful. It’s also more accurate and less tangy than the 1G. And for a speaker that can’t have that much bass, for the obvious reason, it’s pretty good on bass, considering.One other change on 2G compared to 1G is that the artificial Chinese woman voice prompts are gone, replaced with typical boops and beeps. To me, that’s a wash factor, I can think of situations where I liked the wordy prompts over boops/beeps, and can also see how I don’t.***Note: I’m amending again because I got the third generation. It’s the same wattage (5W) as the 2G, but touted with overall better sound quality. And from what I’ve heard, that is true. The sound quality of the 3G is significantly better than that of the 2G, and, like I wrote in the first amendment, the 2G was a noticeable upgrade over the 1G for power and to a lesser extent sound quality. In fact, If you put the speaker firing side on a soft surface that doesn’t totally smother it, like a thin light blanket, you’ve got sort of a sound effect that will leave you thinking that you have a “larger” speaker, akin to the original Anker Soundcore, and it’s close to tolerable to listen to it for long stretches of time. Keep in mind that, at the end of the day, it’s still a small form factor, so you’ll never be fooled into thinking it’s a boombox.Once again, the confirmation noises are the typical boops and beeps that are de rigueur in the BT speaker world. I was hoping that 3G would return the Chinese woman sounding simulated voice prompts, but, alas, no. But it’s why I’m hanging on to my 1G version of this device, because the 1G makes a better pillow speaker than the later generations for that reason. That and I don’t need the increased power or better sound quality for a speaker that’s stuffed under a pillow and whose speech and/or music I’ll be listening to with low attention levels as I’m falling off to sleep, or hope I do.Unfortunately one thing the 3G introduces that I wish it wouldn’t have is that it starts in the low battery audible booping and beeping at 10% power, which means you’ll have maybe an hour of booping and beeping interrupting your listening. If you’re going to do audible, start at 1%, as the earlier two generations of this device did. Otherwise, my ideal is only flashing indications, and preferably that start at 1%. One other thing this needs to fix for the next generation is that when you turn the volume all the way up, it interrupts your audio with a warning beep that you’re topped off on volume, and it should not do that. It just shouldn’t do anything, maybe the warning indication should be lights.I’ve also noticed that the manual claims 1200 mah battery and 0.5 A charging. But it only takes 1 hour 40 minutes to charge from empty to full. 1.6666 hours x 0.5 A = 833 mah. So either the battery isn’t as big as claimed, or the charging current is faster than claimed. I bet it’s the latter, because if the battery weren’t as big, I wouldn’t get the total battery life that I do. So I’m thinking it really charges at or near 1 A.

Great Sound and Looks
Used daily for general music listening, as well as listening to work out music. This is surprisingly loud for such a small speaker, and it works like a charm regardless where I carry it in a rather large house with two decks and a big yard. Looks wise the lavender is both super cute and classy, with a nice low profile. The touch control buttons are convenient, and respond to a very light touch. Battery life is great, and the speaker charges quickly. I like it so much I’m getting another one. Highly recommend this righteous little speaker.

Disclaimer….I did not receive this speaker at discount or for free for an honest review, I paid for it myself.Let’s start with the things I really liked, the rose gold color is great the color is shiny and isn’t matte, gives it some prestige. The LED buttons light up as blue so they are easy to see in the dark, they are a touch screen type instead of a typical push button. The buttons are located on the top of the speaker instead of the side.The actual speaker is in the bottom and has some “bumpers” lifting the speaker slightly from any surface which is really appreciated. I do like the size of this speaker, I was looking for a small speaker to fit in my back pack or my laptop bag with out adding a lot of bulk or weight and it definitely does that job well!It powers with a regular micro cord, I’ve used the cord it came with to charge and have tested it with a regular android cord and it will still charge, that’s a huge plus that you can charge it with a regular android cord!I’ve only tested this with one android cord that I use to charge my tablet so I can’t for sure say that any android cord will work but I figured if one works then all other android cords should work as well but don’t quote me on that.It also comes with a nice little draw string bag, however, it’s just a synthetic bag to protect from scratches, this bag will not protect it from accidental drops or water things like that, for more protection I would buy a hard case.Here is what I DO NOT like about this speaker, I bought this speaker with the intention to use it in my car ( since stereo took a dive) I figured this would be a lot more cost effective than buying a new deck and speaker……I needed something that I was loud enough to actually hear while driving. This little rosy guy does pretty well, but stellar but if all of your windows are up and the a/c or heater is on low you can hear it just fine.It pairs easily but likes to un-pair whenever it wants :/ The battery life is pretty impressive, I ran it a sold 6 hours but I think it advertised 12 hours. I did fully charge it overnight when I first got it home.The play/pause button does not play/pause, if pushed it will un-pair? So if you need to pause you will need to pause whatever device your connected to.Since the speaker is on the bottom of the unit, that changes the sound, it sounds muffled and not as loud, so turning it face side down your sound is much better but also runs the risk of accidentally triggering one of the touch buttons and scratching the led touch buttons which in my opinion has been the biggest annoyance considering I use it most while driving.As far as sound quality, is it loud enough? For the car not really, for use at home possibly depends what you consider loud. For the last few days I’ve been using it with my tablet to watch movies and it does do the job but nothing like my previous speakers, as long as you have it face down then the sound it’s pretty clear and loudish even turned all the way up. My biggest gripe about the sound is, there is no bass! Its got lots of treble which depends on what your listening to can be high pitched. Don’t get me wrong the sound isn’t terrible at all, it does come through pretty crisp and clean and the volume does get loud if your in a small space but only if you have the speaker face down.I would say this little speaker is great if your looking for something for the office and needed a little bit extra volume and the sleek look and size is perfect. I wouldn’t personally recommend this for kids only because the touch buttons are incredibly sensitive and with one push of the play/pause button it’s in-paired, ( my young nephew proved that point and he thought he broke it lol).It came in a very nice sturdy box and was boxed in like an IPhone, has like a deep “nest” protecting it from all angles and was pretty snug so even if it was tipped over it was still safe which is another thing I was grateful.Overall this is a very very basic nice looking Bluetooth speaker, if your looking for something small and compact and good looking and “ok” sound quality, meaning your not looking to really bump your music or watch movies just something to amplify background noise then this is for you!This would be perfect for a teenager, it’s cost effective, looks expensive but you don’t want to hear your teens music blasting lol.Do I really hate this product? No, not for the price but some design issues could use more thought and tweaking and the sound needs BASS!I have enjoyed this little speaker but it’s just not what I was looking for. I live for amazon reviews and and it has such a high amount of reviews I thought “hey, why not”. Considering my needs I will be looking for another Bluetooth speaker.

LOVE THE SOUND QUALITY!
I purchased this over a year ago and I use it EVERYDAY and it still works GREAT! I use it mainly in my car. I place it on the dash and it does not slide around at all. Super easy to charge and has great battery life even over a year later. The sound quality is phenomenal and it can get VERY loud, which I love! I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this product!

Sound isn’t the best
I purchased this to replace another speaker for my office desk that the on button broke on. The speaker seems very durable however the sound is similar to having you pop your ears. It sounds better upside down but then you can’t use the buttons. I keep it on very low volume at work in my office so it is fine, just doesn’t sound as good as the one with the broken button.

My Sound Angle is terrific
The Sound Angle works perfectly, and is easy to set up. If your phone or other gadget is connected to Bluetooth, then all you need to do push the button. I play my music with this in my car, it saves me from listening to the dreadful radio. I love it’s sleek design and matching carrying case. Great little speaker and great sound
I liked the color on this, the price was right, and it didn’t seem to have too many annoying lights! Some of the mini speakers have way too much light show for me, I just want to know if it’s on or charging. It’s a hefty little speaker and has little rubber bumpers underneath that keep it put where you set it. The speaker is located on the bottom, but the bumpers raise it up so the speaker grill is up off the table a bit, and I actually think it enhances the sound as it bounces off the table. Some reviewers say they set it speaker side up, but I don’t think the sound is as full that way.It charged well and it’s nice that it included the charging cable and also an audio cable, for when you don’t want to use bluetooth. Be aware that the charging cable has a usb end, not a plug for a wall socket, but any wall plug off a phone charger will work, or you can plug it into your laptop to charge.The voice telling you when it’s powered on or bluetooth paired is kind of amusing. I didn’t think it was too loud at all. The instructions are a little cryptic, but it’s a bluetooth speaker, not too difficult to get working, lol.I just got this yesterday so I can’t really speak to its durability. If it fails, I will update, but if there’s no update, you can assume it’s still working well. I liked this speaker and think it was a great purchase.Update: I still love this speaker, in fact I enjoy it so much I bought a second one to use to listen to my phone in the car (I have an old car without all those fancy-schmancy ways to hook a phone into the radio speakers). Both still working great! I bought the matching case also, which is nice for the one I keep in the car.Update update: Have had these speakers for over a year now and still love them. One lives at home, and one either in the car or at work. One feature I have found especially handy is that you can touch the top of the speaker and it will pause your playback until you touch it again. Very handy!So much update: I’m only going to add here that I am joining the chorus of people who wish the battery was replaceable. My trusty speaker (one of them died) has reached the point where it will go from 100% to 20% in only 2-1/2 hours. I did open the bottom but the part that contains the battery is enclosed under a wall secured by tiny screws that are in so tight that the heads strip if you try to unscrew them. I tried pressing the “reset” button as suggested by the manufacturer, but it didn’t seem to make much difference. So I still like the speaker, I just wish it would play longer on a battery charge.

I purchased this speaker since my current speaker started sounding distorted. The sound is a little iffy, it all depends what type of music you put. This speaker is not good for rock music or any song that has a lot of bass, it will sound very distorted. I don’t like how the speaker is at the bottom, if you place it on a bed it will cover the sound & music will be a little low. Overall you’re paying for quality and it’s pretty cheap so keep that in mind. The case for the speaker comes in handy ! I ordered this and got it delivered in less than a week.

Awesome small Bluetooth speaker
Great speaker and awesome gift! Perfect size and just the right volume of sound. Impressed by the quality of the product, including how each purchase provides a donation to helping others. I just wish I could replace the battery
So it was a great speaker for probably three years. Once that period ended it became hard to charge to stay charged for very long. My only problem with it at this point is that I cannot replace the battery. I don’t know if it’s more expensive to replace the battery or replace the speaker itself, but I’d like to know what the options are. The unit itself seems self-contained and there doesn’t look like a way to open it in order to replace a battery. That being said, that’s my only problem with it. We are trying to be green in the world anymore and I feel as if buying another one is just wasteful when I can just replace the battery.

Great – if you don’t need the dark
I bought this to use to listen to audiobooks while falling asleep, because I’m trying to get away from using my phone in bed / having it on my nightstand. It works well – good connection, battery life etc. – and is cute and small. Unfortunately although the lights on the top buttons do turn off after a bit, there is a VERY bright blue light on the side that, because of the positioning and speaker mesh, cannot be fully blocked with black electrical tape. If you need a fully dark room to sleep, this is not the speaker for you. Other than that, my only complaint is that the touch controls can get annoying if you have clumsy thumbsies like me. Overall it’s a well made speaker and I recommend it for daytime use.

Wow, y’all! The sound is so clear. I put it in the shower, with the water on, and closed the door, walked to my living room (like 5-8 feet away) and I can hear it CLEARLY. Like every word of the songs! It was halfway up and I heard it gently outside the door and when I put it all the way up (with the door closed this whole time) IT SOUNDED LIKE A PARTY IN THE BATHROOM 😍😍😭 I can worship in the shower again lol I’m so happy! I won’t test it’s waterproof claim, because I don’t want to buy a new one if it dies 😂🫶🏽

Update #3 from 08/03/21:Wasn’t aware that company refunded my full purchase amount due to the issues I ran into. I didn’t request a refund or return, so this was unexpected, and I missed it when it came through a couple of months ago.Amended my review to 4 stars since I was sincerely impressed with the item until it failed. Proactive refunds and assistance from the company definitely impressed me, as I wasn’t looking to try formal complaints or start the refund process for an item that was priced so low to begin with.Update #2 from 05/02/21:Disassembled speaker out of curiosity, confirmed that a transistor on the board indeed blew out and melted, causing the strong electronic burning smell. Didn’t want to bother with the return process on a less than $20 item, but still extremely disappointed. Will likely steer clear of this brand/case in the future for safety reasons.Update #1 from 05/02/21:Item’s charging port or battery has failed. Red light comes on for charging, tried multiple cables, but item doesn’t power on. Held it up to a fan for a moment and could immediately smell the ozone of burning electronics. Something has shorted out, and I’ve been very careful and gentle with this item (even using a breakaway USB adapter).Item has lasted less than a month, and I’m extremely sad and disappointed since it’s functionality this whole time has been absolutely fantastic. Lowered to two stars because no matter how good an item’s function, if it lasts less than a month due to QC issues, then it’s clearly not going to merit 5 stars.ORIGINAL REVIEW:PROS- Small form factor- Nice, sleek design; “touchscreen” buttons are a nice extra, and LED auto-off saves battery life- Good Bluetooth connectivity- Great sound quality considering size (5W rating is legit)- Instant connectivity, swaps between aux and BT seamlesslyCONS- Battery life might not be as long as some larger wireless speakers due to size restrictions. Still gets a pretty decent lifespan, even under constant usage (15hr music rating probably based off of aux port usage, not BT).- Touch-activated buttons can cause issues if holding the speaker and accidentally touching any of the buttons. Kids grabbed the speaker and managed to skip songs and max the volume on some YouTube videos, which really tested the maximum volume capabilities of the speaker.- Downward-facing speaker placement is interesting for acoustics, but can cause issues depending on what the speaker is placed on top of. Hard surfaces clearly reflect the sound much better than soft ones (carpet, couch arm, etc.). Facing the speaker towards the listener also has a very significant volume impact, but placing the speaker on its side is slightly difficult due to round shape.Originally purchased specifically because of the form factor (was looking for something like a hockey pick to fit in a cup holder on my desk). Saw the 5W notation in the details, wasn’t entirely sure I could trust that rating having worked with many a crappy speakers (wired, wireless, powered, automotive, etc.). Pleasantly surprised when I found that the sound was actually fantastic, and easily matches that of the Bose Soundlink Color that my wife used to use.The bass isn’t anything to be ecstatic over, but with such a small size it’s surprising that it delivers the volume that it does. Connectivity is fantastic, haven’t had any issues with bluetooth pairing on the side of the speakers (issues with my PC/phone have occurred, but reboots fixed them). Range seems pretty good despite being bluetooth, I’ve carried it throughout the house with minimal drops (even through walls).Currently have it with a magnetic USB dongle, so I can break it away from it’s charging cable whenever I want with almost no effort. Also keeps the kids from destroying anymore of my charging cables since they have been running over to steal the speaker off my desk and run around with it (whenever I’m listening to music). I HAVE learned the hard way not to keep the aux cable plugged into my Nintendo Switch, however, since they’ve yanked it off my shelf trying to run away with it.Hot swapping between bluetooth and the aux cable is seamless, so I’m able to swap between output from my PC to my Switch easily, which was a necessity since the monitor I’m tying each to doesn’t have speakers or an aux-out. Definitely would purchase another, especially at the amazing price they’re offering, and even read in the instructions that you can link two speakers together, so I might get another just to try that.Considering 3d printing a backhorn setup to take advantage of downward-facing speaker setup to redirect and amplify sound towards me vs reflecting from the tabletop.

The speaker looked fairly impressive straight out of the box. And it was nice that it came fully charged. But once I fired it up I was disappointed… Until I realized I wasn’t really giving it a fair chance. My air conditioning was blasting (mine is loud enough to drown out most bass notes on any small speaker for one) and I wasn’t playing it on a good surface (the speaker is down firing and so that is critical.)So on a whim I placed it on a ceramic coaster with a cork bottom. Instant and vast improvement in sound quality. Then I used an EQ App on my phone, and after some tweaking it sounds fantastic (for the money. Wouldn’t be fair to compare it to much larger speakers costing multiple times it’s price.) The sound quality has also improved over time as happens with “break-in” with many speakers.So now I couldn’t be happier. The features are nice. The sound quality is good. And the battery lasts a very long time at reasonably loud levels. (Speaking of which, to expect practically room shaking sound levels from such a tiny speaker is ridiculous. It plays comfortably and clearly at a decent and reasonable level. But it’s not going to blow your head off with volume.)All things considered I’m exceptionally happy with this speaker and I highly recommend it. Would have given it five stars but the mid-range needs to be tamed a bit (can sound overly forward, “tinny” or a bit piercing) via an EQ to be more palatable. Exceptionally common occurrence with smaller and cheaper speakers. On the other hand, the bass is quite clear and impressive for its size. (Gave that a touch of boost with the EQ and it sounds nice and full without distortion.)Only feature I didn’t test was the micro SD slot. Everything else worked as advertised.

Loud and small
It’s so cute and loud I often have trouble with portable speakers being loud enough this one is great and good sound. I like the touch buttons on top and the color pink is pretty. The only thing I wish is for a strap or something so I can attach it to my stroller or purse or carry on my wrist. It did come with a little case with a spot for a carabiner or clip but you can’t hear it well while it’s in the case

Impressive
I purchased this small Bluetooth speaker to use with my android phone when listening to my Amazon music at home and while camping.When I opened the box and saw how small it was my 1st impression was disappointed, however when I mated it to my phone and began playing music I was instantly impressed how loud you could play this little speaker with crisp clear sound, it’s a keeper, very nice for the price $👍

Excellent Deal on a Great Little Blue Tooth Speaker
I just received this little speaker. I ordered it even though it didn’t get the highest ratings because I liked the size, the looks and the carrying case. It did not disappoint.It hooked up quickly and has a really good sound for such a little speaker. It comes with the necessary cords and was charged when I opened it so I could try it right away. The directions for use are clearly written and make it easy to figure out how to connect it to any device.I like that I can put an SD card in it if I like. It’s easy to answer the phone and speak through the microphone.This little speaker offers it all for such a reasonable price, I don’t know why it doesn’t get 5 stars from everybody.

The top is sensitive to touch
I like this speaker a lot. Beware tho that if you touch the top of it while listening you may replay the last song or skip to the next one. Best case scenario is you change the volume. Also, don’t turn it upside down or the blue tooth will disconnect.Overall it is a decent speaker with good sound quality.

Great Sound, Unique Design and Easy Controls
What a neat little speaker! The flat disc like shape is one Ive never really seen before much less actually use!You’ll find that different surfaces or materials (tabletop vs cardboard vs carpet etc) will have subtle or noticeable differences in sound and volume. I like to test the sound out on a couple different surfaces to decide which amplifies the sounds best or loudest.I absolutely adore the semi(?)hardshell case and the included AUX cord and charger. Wonderful additions, and definitely a big part in my decision to purchase.This little beast can get pretty loud and the bass is well defined.The controls are pretty easy to decipher, and the touch sensitivity is pretty responsive which Im thankful for.The Bluetooth connect is solid and I never have any issues connecting to any of my many devices.Highly recommended!

Great little speaker for a cheap price
I’ve had this for roughly two months now and feel like I can finally give my opinion on it. I’ll admit that I didn’t expect much from this little speaker, and honestly wouldn’t have been mad if I only got a month of use of of it for the price. But it’s still working perfectly.Right off the bat, while I spent call myself a big audiophile, I can be a bit picky with my audio devices. I usually stick to my headphones, but I wanted a little speaker for sharing music or when I’m working around my house and want a portable speaker to take to the room I’m in. I also wanted something I could stick in the bathroom for music while I’m taking a bath or shower.I researched a few little speakers around this price range, and after a bit of consideration, I decided to purchase it. One big factor in my decision was the which shipping.Right off the bat, it’s a stylish little speaker. Everything is straightforward and it can be set up easily even without the instructions. I turned on bluetooth on my Android and it paired easily. I haven’t tried it with an iOS device yet. If includes a sturdy little case for portability, charging cable, and aux cable.I noticed the speaker was at the bottom, so I worried about the sound. Other reviews said it sounded good and had surprisingly good bass, and they were right. Compared to other speakers, it sounded full and not tinny or muffled.I was also concerned with the volume possibly being too low, but this speaker can definitely fill a room pretty well, so long as it’s not a huge room with a noisy crowd. Putting it on a solid flat surface helps as well.The battery lasts pretty long, as I was able to use it for half a day continuously on a single charge. I probably could’ve gotten more out of it if I needed.The touch controls are very responsive as well.Now, just today, I decided to grab it after not having used it for a few weeks. I didn’t charge it and just fired it up, and to my pleasant surprise, it’s held its charge! Most cheap wireless devices I’ve used tend to have a drained battery after an extended time without use.I haven’t used the microphone, so I can’t comment on that.Overall, I’m very happy with this purchase and would happily purchase another if something happens to this one. The only thing I didn’t really like were the power up and power down messages, since I don’t like my devices taking to me, but that is a very trivial thing.

Decent speaker; good value
Let me be the first to say, I LOVE the color. That right there is a win in my book. I like the fact that it comes with a handy dandy case which is awesome. If all else fails, or if you return this for some odd reason, you can always keep the case to store handy dandy knick-knacks ie headphone wires, extra cables, or even a mashed-up cupcake (jkg on the last one). I haven’t even played this thing at full volume and even at ~50% volume sound is decent enough. Now I’m not saying it will satisfy those audiophile ears in us but it. gets the job done. At full volume with little background noise, the base is respectable. Surprising base coming from such a tiny speaker; speaking of which, this thing has a great form factor btw. It’s not too chunky, and just slim enough to go unnoticed (* ahem…at work). I will say however if pure value and feature set is a priority then consider the shower speaker version offered by the same manufacturer because it has a stronger (farther) BlueTooth range which is great. Not really a deal-breaker though since this model has water resistance built in as well which should be good enough for a splash of H20 here and there. As apposed to the shower version, this colored version (current model) has really nifty rubberized grips on the bottom which keep it in place when placed on flat surfaces.All in all, I’m happy with my purchase and would recommend it to anyone looking for a small, small around Bluetooth speaker for general music playing (or podcasts).

Portable clear speaker with great battery life
Was using it to play white noise for my baby via the mp3 file on an SD card. This is the perfect speaker for that task. My son was very picky with the white noise that he likes and commercially available shushers wont do the trick, hence the speaker.I’ve never had the battery gone flat for us and I usually let it run in the background for more than 10 hrs on low volume.It’s weighs a bit for its size but i guess that it feels of a better quality when holding it. The entire speaker seems to be made in metal, i accidentally dropped it once and it didnt break, so i’m guessing the durability is not bad as well.

Distinction to be made.
Maybe I was misreading the marketing for this. I bought it thinking it was a speaker I could place IN my shower. That is not the case, while it does make for a good speaker in my bathroom while I shower I would not feel comfortable putting this in the way of running water. All that being said, I LOVE this little speaker. As someone who is constantly looking for audio solutions to my daily life this speaker is incredibly powerful for the size. You can tell a lot of thought and care was placed into this product. Sound quality is surprisingly crisp and the material feels very high quality and battery life has taken me by surprise with how long it’s lasted. While not QUITE what I was hoping for I can’t say I’m unhappy with this purchase. Will probably be gifting a few more of these out throughout the year.

A Little Powerhouse – with unreliable bluetooth
This fine little speaker fulfills all the basic tenets of tiny bluetooth speakers that probably brought you to this page:+ Sound Quality. Of course, this is the first question. It has a wide range, never rattles, squawks or buzzes. In fact, the audio quality remains surprisingly clean even while charging it, which is more than I can say for most other similar devices I’ve used in the past.+ Portability. It’s about 2″ in diameter by 1″ tall, and even comes with a nice quality carrying pouch – which was a great touch.+ Bluetooth connectivity. Easy to connect & respectable range, though I haven’t conducted proper empirical tests on the range, it’s never fallen short of my needs – i.e. roaming from room to room with my phone while leaving the speaker in a central location on the same floor.+ Volume. Loud enough for a hard of hearing person to understand dialectic whispery dialogue from period cinema while sitting across the room in front of a fan, so that’s loud enough for basically any conceivable, healthy indoor use and most outdoor occasions concentrated around, say, a picnic area.The only thing I don’t care for, and it’s very minor (and not unique to this product/brand/model), is the robotic voice that announces itself when you fire up the power and when the battery is low. It’s not a very pleasant or intelligible voice, and is usually a little louder than I’d like it to be. This is no reason not to buy so much as it is a note to the developers, should they ever parse these reviews.Edit: It’s been a year and I still love this speaker but I keep it on a charger as much as possible because that dissonant, Rise of the Machines voice sends chills down my spine and “she” gets almost hysterical when “her” battery starts to wind down, as though aware of her own mortality. It’s like the end of Titanic; you’re Rose and she’s Jack, slipping into a dark and silent surrender. “LOW BATTERY!”…the first time, you gently set down your bowl of soup, fumble for the bedside light so you can locate the charger…”LOW BATTERY!!” it shrieks again, seemingly louder, 30 seconds later. You frown, and paw around your desk, searching for a free USB to micro USB cord, “Babe, have you seen the—” “—LOW BATTERY!!!” Is it just me or is it getting louder? “LOW BATTERY!!!” And faster? In shorter intervals? “LOOOOOWWW B—” it cries out, like the sentient train from Stephen King’s Dark Tower dystopia. It goes quiet midsentence, like it just found out Santa isn’t real. The silence is long and dark like the night of a breakup in December.6 months have passed. Now you know to keep it charged. It puts the plug in the socket or it gets the voice again. It should be good for awhile. You watched free online economics lectures all day and now your id has its revenge binging some 1970s sitcom. One second, Bob Newhart has a gleam in his eye, his mouth opens to deliver a snarky zinger and out comes, “LOW BATTERY!” you drop your popcorn spilling it all over the bed, crunch across it on your knees, with a start and fumble for the cord which you now keep in your pocket, for just such an instant. “LOW BATTERY!!” The rhetorical klaxons are dialing up their panic level to the cover of Rush’s Moving Pictures Album (Harvey Birdman reference, sorry). You dropped the cable. It fell out of your pocket between the bed and the wall as your disappointed family look on with horror, faces like Munch’s The Scream. “LOWW BATTERYYY!!!” “I’ll get mine!” Your husband yells. The dog is barking. The babies are crying – yours and the neighbors’. Your mother in law is fetal in the corner rocking away the panic with an inaudible mantra. “LOWWW—” *berp* you plug it in.The lens on your life resolves from its shaky Dutch tilt. Colors resaturate and flowers blossom in their pots. You’d never know it was winter. The cats resume their purring.And you have no idea why Carol and Bob and everyone is laughing on the screen as the dolly cam zooms out but you bet it was funny.Yeah, that voice…wow. u_uUpdate: a year later, the bluetooth stopped working completely, and the volume seemed permanently lower than it used to be. Could no longer hear it well. Wasn’t exposed to moisture or shock or anything, so just built in obsolescence, I suppose.

Great Sound and Versatility
I bought this unit to have on our cruise trips and beach outings. For the size this unit puts out a quality sound. Besides blue tooth connection, this player also accepts an sd card that will play your choice of songs.
