Great cameras
I bought two of these cameras for security, one in the front and one in the back of my home and they work great.However, motion detection enabled, picks up all movement, including trees, swaying in the wind. the AI detection to specify a human only as well as tracking, definitely needs some work. I find just using motion detection is the best course of action to use although be prepared for countless alerts!

C’est l’entrée de gamme de Tapo et ça parait. Facile à installer et configurer, vision de nuit assez flou, les déplacements à distance via l’application sont laborieux: un gros décalage de temps. Mais pour surveiller des jeunes chatons c’est parfait car la vision de jour est excellente. S’utilise sans abonnement et je lui ai installé une carte SD pour stocker les vidéos captés lors de la détection de mouvements.

one of the best under $100 web cams I’ve used
I originally paid under $50 for this one and was skeptical on it’s “colour night vision”. Once I got it set up & tested… I’m going to be buying another one! The C200 works flawlessly at night sitting in a window pointed over my car. Night Vision in colour with great low light pick up! I’ve replaced another 3rd party cam and probably will not use it over the Tapo one. I wanted the C211 (all black) but not for sale in Canada. This is a great cam to view remotely away from home (internet connection & app can control it anywhere you have data/wifi). Great value for what you get 🙂 highly recommended!

Terrible configuration flow, bad app
I’m a very experienced software developer and found the installation process extremely frustrating.1. You have to alter the security of your home network from WPA3-SAE to WPA3-PSK. For one device. Every other device works with WPA3-SAE. Except the one device **made by a network devices company**. How. Why.2. Then you have to connect to the camera’s WIFI to configure it. And disable your cell connection. Because the app cannot tell them apart. Why is this WIFI. In 2023 this should be Bluetooth. Heck anytime after 2012 it should be Bluetooth.3. As soon as you connect the app will go into the most frustrating loop because it is trying to find a data connection. But you are still connected to the camera’s network. And your cell data is down. So as any regular human being you go to your phone’s settings to choose your actual WIFI network and re-enable data. But the app takes the focus again to alert you… that there is no data ! So you have to fight or force-close the app to be able to connect to your wifi and finish the set-up. Did the engineers at TP-LINK ever set up their own devices ???The app is terrible.Make the mistake of going into landscape mode and occasionally you can’t exit it. Again the hallmark of engineers who did not dog-food their own product.Would you like to receive a notification every time your pet goes in the frame ? Because the AI is thar good (golf clap).We’ll give this a longer try but my hunch is to return it ASAP.

Great Camera for Price
Overall, a great camera for the price. I purchased it to watch over the apartment while I was away for the week, and it worked as expected. The only real issue I have with it (which could maybe be fixed with an app update), is that you can’t control the exposure, and the camera overexposes outside light obscuring images close to windows and sliding doors.Pro: well built, good price, continuous recording, motion detection works wellCons: bulky, overexposure

Decent but doesn’t save viewpoint settings
A couple of things:With the C200, I keep setting the viewpoints and after a couple of days it’s not in the same viewpoint location. The camera isn’t being moved and no one else can change it.It’s rather frustrating because I’m constantly having to reset it every couple of days.I have Tapo C200 and C100 and both will stop reading SD Card and I lose all my playback videos. You definitely need to spend the money on good SD cards.Otherwise, the cameras have been pretty good.

Actually Super Impressed
We are using this as a camera in our toddlers room. Picture quality is great, it has a talk and speaker feature, pan and tilt is perfect too. My husband and I each have the app on our phones and can access it no problem. Definitely recommending this to our friends!Only reason I gave 4 star is because I bought it yesterday and today it is $15 off. So that kind of annoyed me.

Although TP-Link indoor camera’s video has a good video quality, when I try to talk with someone at home with it they cannot hear me that well. If it wasn’t for the audio issues I would’ve given a better rating for this brand.

Decent for the price.
Ordered a 2 pack of these mainly to keep tabs on a shady landlord, making sure they don’t enter our apartment without notice when we’re not home. Love that we can move the lens around to different spots. We’ve got them installed in the ceiling and inverting the image. My only wish and reason for deducting a star is not being able to see directly down 180 degrees. But for the price couldn’t be happier.

EXCELLENT WI-FI SURVEILLANCE CAMERA WITH MOTION DETECTION, VIDEO RECORDING, & REMOTE ALERTS
For the past month, I have been using this (Tapo C200) home security Wi-Fi camera on a daily basis to monitor my apartment while I am at work. Typically I keep the camera set on “motion detection,” so that it only records video content (with an optional micro SD card; max 128 GB) when an intruder is present. There are various other options as well. For example, it’s possible to schedule the exact hours for each individual day of the week that the camera will (constantly) record video content. The mobile app is loaded with many useful controls and features.In real-time, notifications are pushed to the app on my mobile device (iPhone) when motion is detected within a proximity of roughly 10 feet from the camera. Each notification is linked to a time stamp which means – with the simple click of a button – I can immediately play-back the segment of recorded video content which corresponds with each separate notification / intrusion. This can be done remotely while I am at work. There is NO requirement to be on-site and remove the micro SD card from the camera for reinsertion into a card reader which is attached to a computer. This is VERY convenient.The quality of both video and audio recording is excellent. The FREE mobile app (also no subscription required) is very user-friendly and offers many different features and controls. When panning, the camera’s motor is smooth and surprisingly quiet. There is a “privacy mode” which can be activated with a single touch – which is convenient when I return home after work. This ensures that no recording will accidentally take place while I am home. The infrared night vision is useful ONLY when some amount of light is present – though not very much illumination is required.Cloud storage and other premium features are available at a price – which I do not require. The front of the camera has an LED status indicator light. Initially I supposed this to be a design flaw, as it would accentuate the location of the camera for any would-be intruder. However, later I discovered there is a VERY handy “on-off” switch within the app for this indicator light within the mobile app.In my opinion, the ONLY negative feature of this camera is its colour. As a “surveillance” camera, a stealthy black colour would have been more appropriate – rather than a brilliant white colour which tends to draw more attention.Note #1: This camera “speaks” aloud various status updates during the (simple / user-friendly) initial set-up process. Anyone within earshot will be made aware of the fact that you are installing a surveillance camera. During usual operation, the camera is silent – unless you decide to remotely sound an alarm or speak through the camera for a 2-way conversation.Note #2: Obviously, it is necessary to input the WEP key for your network during the initial set-up process. With a cloud based mobile app, this could potentially be a privacy concern for some users. Hopefully, Tapo is a reputable and honest company which does not store (or otherwise misuse) such confidential information on their own servers.Note #3: There is no ethernet connectivity. This camera operates very well by Wi-Fi only.Note #4: Assuming you install an optional micro-SD card (max 128 GB), ensure that you initially format the card from within the mobile app. The feature is located – along with other controls – by touching the cogwheel icon in the upper righthand corner of the app interface.Note #5: This product is manufactured in China. More specifically, the company’s (Tapo’s) head office is based in Hong Kong. This product does NOT include a Canadian safety standards certification. There exists only a CE certification, which is a EU designation applied by the manufacturer. You will find this to be the case for almost all other such cameras sold on Amazon. Thankfully, this camera does NOT seem to generate any noticeable heat.If you do not mind the (white) colour of this camera, my suggestion would be to stop wasting any more time reading through the customer reviews for countless other surveillance cameras. After about 6 hours of reading on the weekend, eventually I purchased this camera. This is an excellent camera at an excellent price. No regrets! :)Update: It seems that a lot of would-be buyers are inquiring about the power source for the camera. This TP-Link Tapo Smart Cam Tilt Home WiFi Camera includes an AC power adapter which has an output of 9 volts & 0.6 amps. It’s labelled “TP-Link Model T090060-2B1.” Although the cable for my camera is currently bundled together (due to excessive length), I would be quite surprised if the full length does not exceed 10-12 feet. Although I have NOT measured its length, it’s VERY long.Two months after buying this camera and using it everyday, I remains very pleased with its overall performance and features.

Livraison en 5 jours.J’ai pris un risque après avoir lu les commentaires qui, sommes toutes, étaient très positifs, j’en ai acheté 5 d’un coup. Je ne l’ai pas regretté.C’est cool, parce que j’ai pu comparer avec une autre marque et modèle que j’avais acheté il y a quelques années sur Amazon mais qui est aujourd’hui discontinué. Ce qui est toujours un problème lorsque tu veux acheter tranquillemnt une caméra à la fois.J’aime l’idée que le TP-Link, ou Tapo, “semble” un produit canadien.Les gros plus, versus mes expériences antécédentes:- Le “night vision” n’embarque pas inutilement. Il enclenche quand il n’y a vraiment pas assez de lumière, un GROS plus pour ça.- Le soir, (j’ai une caméra qui pointe sur la rue devant chez moi), avec les lampadaires, la caméra ne passe jamais en “night vision”, l’image est très bien et en couleur en plus.- Les enregistrements sur la cartes micro SD ne sont pas enryptés. Ce qui veut dire que l’on peut les lire ou les archiver ailleurs sans avoir à passer par l’application du téléphone. Pour moi c’est un ÉNORME plus. Le format des fichiers est du simple mp4. Facile à lire sur n’importe quoi. Trop génial. Avec l’autre marque, c’est un cauchemar. il faut transférer avec l’app du cell en temps réel. Berk!- L’app sur Android est vraiment intéressante. On s’y perd un peu parfois, à savoir où se trouve quoi, mais après quelques jours, on finit par s’y retrouver un peu.- Pour l’instant j’ai installé 4 de mes 5 caméras, et je n’ai eu aucune difficulté à le faire. AUCUN problème. Très très facile. Il ne suffit que de lire et suivre les indications à la lettre. C’est tout. Ceux qui ont eu des problèmes, sont soit tombés sur des citrons, soit ont eu des problèmes de configuration avec leur routeur/modem, ou ils n’ont pas suivi les indcations.- Possibilité de voir 4 caméras, de son choix, en temps réel. Ça c’est complètement fou pour le prix!!Les petits moins (mais à peine 😀 )- Enregistrement en loop sur carte micro SD, ce “feature” est un peu moins bien fait que mon dernier système. Quand on se promène sur le “timeline” de visionnement, le plus loin que l’on peut reculer, c’est à minuit. Ensuite, il faut absolument changer de jour en 2e étape. Mon autre système reculait sans avoir à changer de journée. En reculant, il change de journée, de manière logique, une fois arrivé à minuit. Ce n’est pas un gros problème, c’est juste une manière différente de faire les choses. En revanche, avec Tapo, on peut zoomer sur le timeline pour s’y promener plus précisément ou plus rapidement. Ce que je n’ai jamais pu faire sur les autres systèmes.- Malheureusement, les options de “AI detection” et de “suivi des mouvements”, ne sont fonctionnelles qu’avec le forfait payant “Tapo Care”. C’est dommage et je ne comprends pas pourquoi cette limite. Mais bon, la détection de mouvement est quand même “activable”, et fonctionne très bien en envoyant une notification sur votre téléphone et en plaçant un signet sur le timeline de l’app. En cliquant sur la notif de l’app, il vous emmène exactement au point de la détection de mouvement. Mon ancien système n’était pas du tout précis sur ce point. Il pouvait vous placer 50 secondes avant le mouvement déclencheur. Mais Tapo est vraiment précis la-dessus. C’est impressionnant!- Le modèle C200 est disponible sur Amazon Canada, mais pas le C210. C’est dommage, parce qu’il parait que ce dernier a une nette amélioration quant à la qualité de l’image. Il offre le 2k. Il est disponible sur Amazon US. :’-(il existe aussi une autre collection plus “pro” pour une différence de prix négligeable, quand on considère le gain. Kasa, aussi de TP-Link, pas disponible sur Amazon.ca. Il donne accès aux options payantes de Topa, gratuitement (“AI detection”, “suivi des mouvements”). En plus de la qualité 2k sur les modèles K410s. Oui, j’ai fait mes recherches encore plus approfondies… après l’achat… Par-contre, cette collection n’est pas “interchangeable”. Soit tu y vas avec Kasa, soit c’est Topa. Pas de mélange.- L’affichage des caméras sur l’app est relativement lent versus ce que j’ai déjà connu. Ça peut prendre jusqu’à parfois plus de 30 secondes… avant de voir une image en mouvement (pas quatre caméras, juste pour en voir une). C’est long. Mon autre système affichait en moins de 3 secondes en général. Que ça soit pour le direct ou pour le playback. La-dessus, Tapo a des croûtes à manger encore.J’ai tellement de choses à dire sur la caméra Tapo (TP-Link), que je pourrais parler pendant des heures. Ce système est vraiment intéressant. I have two other type of Bulb CAM which use different software. The Tapo software is AMAZING Vs others and if you purchase a Micro SD, you don’t need to buy cloud unless you are really scared that the burglar take your CAM… The detection is the strength since you may define up to 4 square area in your view. That way you can not look at trees leaves moving, etc. You may also add up to 4 cross line that will trigger an alarm event. It’s installed at top of a window looking outside. It was turning in IR detection at night but it’s not really working through window (as no CAM works). But I installed a 40W light outside and it switched to day mode and I can see a clear color view. But I’m only looking in backyard, my 40w could not work if I would like to look far away. The IR vision in the house (basement, living room is excellent. If the would sell a bulb CAM I would buy it right away and replace my two others CAM (bulb CAM).

The item came really fast. Very easy to use. Images on the phone were great, even at night time. Able to monitor and pan the camera when not at home. We have not bought the SD card, so we are not sure if it will record well. The only thing is the cord comes in black. Wished it was white because we have white walls. We have to buy a little monitor shelf to put it higher up.

Decent but glitchy
Camera is decent but could use improvement. I bought 3 C200 cameras and 2 C515w cameras as well as 5 high quality 128gig micro SD cards. All the cameras came with free 30 day cloud trial. The cameras worked well during the trial period. I could view events and playback video from days previous. After the trial ended there seems to be issues. If I’m not on my home network the cameras no not seem to want to play previously recorded video. Live Video works fine. Pan, tilt and audio all work well, but, if I try to playback from hours before I get a message saying the network is unstable and to try again later. If the network is unstable then it shouldn’t be able to live stream. It doesn’t make sense. Another issue is the “AI”. It’s almost pointless. It does not really recognize if a person is in frame. It thinks my Rose Bush is a person when the wind blows. Could really use improvement there. It also thinks shadows from car headlights are people at night which leads to a TON of false alarms. I’ve been having to point the camera at the ground just to get it to stop. One thing that might be an improvement in the app is if when it switches to night mode, it also could switch to a different camera mark. There’s a few other annoyances but nothing serious. My main complaint is that if you don’t pay for the cloud service you seem to lose some functionality that they claim is there either way. There’s no way that the network is too continuously unstable to be able to watch a previous video while still being able to supply a live feed of video and audio. They only use maybe 200kb/s in bandwidth. My home network is 500Mb/s and my work network is fiber optic. It’s also just a little too much of a coincidence that the network playback problem only started happening once the free cloud trial was over and I opted to not subscribe. Overall good camera for the money though. Just seems to be some sketchy service from TP-Link, which by the way, is also the brand of both my modem and wifi router.

Cette camera va vous suivre.Mon seul probleme, l’emplacement de la mini carte SD. Elle se trouve dessous l’oeil de la camera. Il faut deplacer manuellement l’oeil vers le haut pour voir la petite fente.

Have had these a couple of days. Really impressed at the image clarity and the features. The only reason I did not give it five stars is that operating the app remotely (that is, when you are using cellular service on your phone away from home) requires 5 full bars. Anything less than 5 bars is marginal. At least for my XS10 iPhone with LTE cellular. Maybe it would work better with a newer phone or 5G service. But I’m very happy with these units and the Tapo app.

Easy to setup, but some may face issues if you have multiple SSID’s
It works great. However if you need to download pictures or videos you need to be on the same SSID as the devices. Hence remotely you can’t download. Hope this feature would be available in the near future.

Not perfect, but can’t beat the price.
When the camera is patrolling or tracking, the picture lags and freezes. It also didn’t record the full clip of movement and cut off about halfway during testing. It is good though if you need a dirt cheap camera just to check in on things from time to time. I wouldn’t rely on it for much more than that.

Security cam
Addendum. Easy set up and camera works great. I just ordered my third camera, used, open box like the first two. I highly recommend. Also, the night vision is great, you can see details clearly.I like the fact that it has 2 way audio, 360 degree motion, pan and tilt. I’m able to keep an eye on my pets. They can hear me and I can hear them as well as see them.

AI Detection WITHOUT a paid subscription!
Very happy and highly recommend these TP-Link security cameras. Setup with the Tapco App couldn’t be much easier. Excellent video quality and motion detection, and especially appreciate the included AI Detection (with a microSD card) without requiring a paid subscription. Cameras hold a 256 GB card but 128GB provides plenty of event recording time. Have replaced another brand of security cameras also capable of AI Detection but as an added feature only available with a paid subscription, constantly battering customers to subscribe to one of their Plans.

Easy indoor camera’s
I own two of these and setup is so easy, as is the app. For the price you cant go wrong, especially if you’re using these to watch your kids etc. Got them to keep an eye on my young boys while I’m in my office in meetings, if my wife was out.

Pretty good camera
Bought the product used and its a really good camera. Pan and tilts entirely 360 to get a full view. Quality is super easy and so is setup. Only issue was the screws that were said to be in the package were no where to be found but thats not a big deal to me. Definitely would repurchase.

Perfect camera for our needs
Great price, app allows you to remotely control camera view around a room. Important in case of security, power outage or floods. Dislike certain features are restricted unless you subscribe to cloud storage. It meets our needs at a very good price compared to competition. We bought two. Recommend this product.

It works without a subsciption..
I have purchased a LOT of varying cameras and each one to be able to get full functionality (i.e.it tracks and lets you download the videos it detects)… you need to purchase a subscription.. This product is awesome and the subscription is a extra service that adds to the product not a absolutely necessary to have.. I recommend this and it is worth every penny I have put into it… will buy more of thier products in future..

Great pan/tilt camera for home security – also love the free app so far!
Got this one on sale during Prime Day – was cheaper than their fixed camera. My choice of TP-Link Tapo is mostly because of the app : it works standalone without requiring any subscription or use of cloud storage. Everything happens in the camera and the app browses the content (more or less). Not sure 100% the motion/AI recognition are baked on-board or rely on cloud AI. But compared to competitors in the same price range, my choice went to Tapo for the no-subscription model and more privacy-inclined if you wish.Night vision works, beware of reflections in windows. I found that using color mode was sometimes more useful – image quality is that good.128GB provides 350+hrs of recording : note that unless you continuously record, camera will record events, but not continuously, requiring little memory spare on the card, especially if you tweak well motion detection and zones. But even with sensitive detection that records some random events, it will usually take a while to fill the card. When that happens, camera can be set to overwrite the oldest footage.Beware of power cable length: it’s around 9′ – which is not very long, I had to use an extension cord to reach the window sill where I installed the camera. Plan ahead where you want the camera (what you want it to see), and try to figure out if the power cable makes it to a plug.Very recommended, may purchase another one on sale.

Easy setup, clear pictures, took a few minutes to see all options on app. Ties into other Kasa items in house.
